Eugene (2016) by Met Devoti is a polymaterial installation that places the human figure in a suspended, almost spectral dimension. The sculpture, immersed in a glowing blue environment, presents a fragmented bust with a head partially eroded or unfinished, suggesting both vulnerability and transformation. The translucent quality of the material, enhanced by light, makes the figure appear as if it were dissolving into the surrounding space, caught between presence and absence.

The installation reflects on identity in the digital and post-digital age, where the self becomes mutable, fractured, and refracted through layers of perception.
