Digitally Days
Digitally-Days – The Movie extends the physical presence of the marble sculpture into the immaterial realm of moving images and sound. Through video mapping and digital post-production, the carved globe illuminated from within becomes a dynamic projection: light and geometry evolve, expand, and explode in three-dimensional space, turning solid matter into pure visual energy.
The soundtrack, composed and performed by Met Devoti in collaboration with Valerio “Bibè” Mencaraglia, reinforces this metamorphosis by weaving together rhythm and resonance, echoing the vibration of marble itself. The piece functions as a dialogue between sculpture and cinema, object and image, permanence and transience.
If the sculpture Digitally-Days reflects on the traces of human presence in the digital era, the video version amplifies its meaning: stone dissolves into pixels, touch into sound, matter into memory. The work invites the viewer into an immersive, almost ritual experience where tradition and innovation converge.
