CAM N°51

Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, Met Devoti is one of the most representative artists of his generation. After an influential period in Japan, he returned to Italy to sculpt the precious Carrara marble, bringing with him a renewed vision shaped by both artistic discipline and musical experience. His background as a musician imbues his works with a unique sense of harmony, while his sculptural approach is defined by an extraordinary sensitivity to space and time.

Devoti’s installations captivate because they bridge eras: ancient, noble marble in dialogue with futuristic forms that vibrate with originality. In his hands, marble seems to move—its gravity almost imperceptible. Deeply knowledgeable about his material, he reinterprets it with natural ease, creating works that have been showcased in Italy, abroad, and in major contemporary art exhibitions.
